Fillings:
Fillings are needed when a tooth has decay, is broken, or a previous filling has failed and needs replacing. The ultimate goal of a filling is to restore the tooth to a natural and functional shape so that the tooth can work in harmony with the rest of your teeth and jaws to eat, speak and look natural when you smile. Filling a tooth can be done in multiple ways with many different materials, we very often choose Admira Fusion for direct fillings. Alternative options can include scanning the hole/defect in your tooth, 3-D designing the filling and 3-D milling the filling out of a ceramic material.
Same Day Crowns:
Crowns are mainly for protecting teeth, these are very common for teeth with root canals, after a tooth has cracked or broken, or simply providing protection on a tooth with an existing large filling that we suspect is at high risk of breaking in the near future. Crowns used to be quite a drawn-out process, but at Wattle Holistic Dentists we use 3-D scanning, milling and ceramic glaze and firing technology to create crowns in our office on the same day that fit and look beautiful.
Extractions:

While tooth extractions are occasionally unavoidable, rest assured that our seasoned dental surgeons approach this procedure with utmost care and dedication to your comfort. Though the prospect of a tooth removal may not be the most pleasant, we prioritise creating a soothing and atraumatic experience. To enhance your comfort, we offer options such as happy gas and twilight sedation in a calming environment.

Before making any decisions, we take the time to thoroughly discuss the extraction process with you. Our aim is not only to address the immediate need for removal but also to explore potential replacement options, including implants and dentures.

We are committed to promoting the maximum health and healing of the surrounding bone and tissues, ensuring a comprehensive and personalized approach to your dental care.

Root Canal Treatment:

Root canal treatment often has a bad reputation, but they do not have to be painful or a huge source of worry, in fact, the dentists here embrace root canal treatments as it
is often represents the last effort that is available to help retain natural teeth which have severely broken or decayed. Extraction and tooth replacement become the only alternatives at this stage, and we understand that may not be suitable for everyone.

We look at your mouth and body as a whole to determine the best course of action. Root canal treatment is used to relieve pain from an aching tooth, or healing an infection. We clean out bacteria from the inside of the tooth to allow your immune system the chance to heal the bone and ligaments around the tooth and seal the filling material in to prevent a re-infection. Also, we keep up to date on the latest in root canal research, using conservative rotary file system to prevent excessing cutting of the healthy natural tooth structure, we also use 3-D x-rays to help assess the anatomy of the tooth and complex root canal system and assess old root canals to ensure they are still healthy.

We have the help of ultrasonic instruments and Ozone to disinfect the root canal system, as well as use a high quality bioceramic sealants. Rest assured, we approach root canal treatments with precision and care, prioritizing your comfort and the longevity of your natural teeth.

Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
